The basics
What is Don't Forget?
Don't Forget is a focus timer for one task at a time. You name what you're working on and start the timer. When something pulls you away, you tap Switch: the task is parked with its time, steps and notes, and the new one starts. A minute later a notification asks if you want to go back, and Up Next keeps the parked task at the top until you do.
Who is it for?
People whose days don't go in a straight line: adults with ADHD, people who hyperfocus and lose track of time, and anyone whose work is full of interruptions. You don't need a diagnosis to use it, and it doesn't ask you to change how your brain works.
See use casesHow is it different from a Pomodoro timer or a to-do list?
A to-do list tells you what exists, and a Pomodoro timer tells you when to stop. Neither remembers what you were in the middle of when something interrupted you. Don't Forget is built around that moment: switching is one tap, the task you left keeps its place, and getting back is one tap too. Pomodoro is there if you want it, but it's optional.
Is Don't Forget an ADHD treatment?
No. It's a productivity tool, not a medical device or therapy, and it doesn't diagnose or treat anything. Many people with ADHD use it alongside whatever support they already have.
Pricing
Is Don't Forget free?
Yes. Tasks, the timer, switching, steps, Up Next, Pomodoro, reminders, folders, widgets, the Mac menu bar app, the Apple Watch app, iCloud sync and your daily, weekly and monthly statistics are all free. Don't Forget Pro is an optional one-time purchase ($19.99 in the US; the App Store shows your local price).
What does Pro add?
Pro Insights (your focus patterns, where your time goes, what slows you down and what helps you finish), time by folder, and Siri & Shortcuts, so you can start, switch, resume or complete a task by voice or from automations. It's a single purchase with no subscription, and it restores for free on your other devices.
Is there a subscription?
No. Pro is a one-time purchase. There are no ads either.
Devices and sync
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone and iPad (iOS 17.6 or later), Mac (macOS 14.6 or later) and Apple Watch (watchOS 10.6 or later). One download from the App Store covers all of them.
Is there an Android, Windows or web version?
Not at the moment. Don't Forget is built only for Apple devices, so it can use things like Live Activities, the Mac menu bar and Apple Watch complications.
Do my tasks sync between iPhone, iPad and Mac?
Yes, through your own iCloud account. There's nothing to sign up for. Your tasks, timers, steps and photos appear on each device signed in to the same Apple Account.
What does the Mac app do?
It lives in the menu bar. Click the timer (or press Control-Option-D from any app) to see your current task, switch, pause, or pick something up again, and keep a small floating widget on screen if you like. When your Mac sleeps, locks or starts the screen saver, the running task pauses, and it resumes if you're back soon.
Don't Forget for MacWhat can I do on Apple Watch?
See your current task and timer, tick off steps, pause, complete, or start what's next, plus complications for your watch face. Editing and statistics stay on iPhone.
Privacy
Do I need an account?
No. There's no sign-up, email or password. Your data syncs through iCloud, which you're already signed in to.
Can you see my tasks?
No. Your tasks live on your devices and in your private iCloud database, which the developer can't read. The app sends anonymous usage and crash data to Google Firebase to find bugs and see which features get used. The privacy policy has the details.
Read the privacy policyCan I export my data?
Yes. Settings lets you export your tasks and tracked time as CSV or JSON.
Focus and time
What if I walk away and forget to pause the timer?
On Mac, the timer pauses on its own when your Mac sleeps, locks or starts the screen saver. On iPhone, if you come back after a long time with the timer still running, the app asks if you were still working. You can also set when you actually stopped with "stopped at", or adjust the time by hand, so a forgotten timer doesn't skew your day.
Does Pomodoro work with ADHD?
For some people, some of the time. Short sessions can make starting easier, but a timer that rings in the middle of hyperfocus can also break a good run. Don't Forget lets you choose: run an open-ended timer, or turn on Pomodoro with 15, 25 or 50-minute sessions and 5 or 10-minute breaks.
Studying with ADHDCan it help with time blindness?
It can make time visible. The timer runs on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, and statistics show how long things actually took, measured rather than guessed. Many people find that helps them plan the next time more realistically.
Can I break a big task into steps?
Yes. Add steps to any task, focus on one at a time, and see how long each one really took. When you switch away, the next step is shown with the parked task, so you know exactly where to restart.
Are there streaks or goals I can fail?
No. There are no streaks to break and no daily targets. Statistics describe what happened; they don't grade you.
